About the Role

As a Junior Data Engineer at Zimran, you will build and maintain the robust data pipelines that power our global applications. Working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, you will ensure high-quality, reliable data flows that enable strategic decision-making across the company.

Your Impact

• Build & Maintain Pipelines: Develop, implement, and manage scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to integrate and process data from multiple sources.
• Optimize Architecture: Design and refine databases, data warehouses, and data schemas for highly efficient storage and access.
• Ensure Data Reliability: Handle large datasets while ensuring their availability, reliability, and security across all systems.
• Drive Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for data quality, including rigorous cleaning, validation techniques, and strict compliance with privacy standards.
• Collaborate for Solutions: Partner closely with business teams to deeply understand their data needs and deliver tailored, high-quality data solutions.
• Monitor Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize data processing workflows to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
• Enable Insights: Develop standardized dashboards and ad-hoc reports to help drive informed business decision-making.

About You

• Technical Foundation: You have strong knowledge of SQL, proficiency in Python, and hands-on experience with GCP/BigQuery.
• ETL Expertise: You possess a deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and principles, experience with version control systems (Git), and the capability to optimize complex data workflows.
• Education & Experience: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Mindset: You are curious, passionate, and systematic, bringing a strong attention to detail and a solid focus on achieving results.
• Collaborative Communicator: You possess excellent communication skills and take a highly collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
